Happiness Machine at Encounters
On Friday 27 September at 2:30pm the ‘Happiness Machine’ programme screens at Encounters Film Festival 2019 in Bristol. The programme features The Flounder by Elizabeth Hobbs and Bloomers Samantha Moore + 8 other European female animators who were all paired with female composers by Klangforum Wien & Tricky Women.

Following the screening at 4pm, animated documentary maker Samantha Moore, Swedish composer Malin Bång & Producer Abigail Addison will be discussing the production of Bloomers, pictured above.
Bloomers is also screening in Competition Programme 3 on Thursday 26 September at 12pm, alongside ‘Untold Tales’ commission Hold Tight by Jessica Ashman.
The Flounder is also screening at Ottawa IAF, where Elizabeth Hobbs is also presenting a masterclass, participating in the jury, and made the festival signal film as well.
