Mortal artists selected

We are pleased to announce the artists selected for our Mortal programme for early-career artists. We are looking forward to working with Ben Faircloth, Eilidh Nicoll, and Lily Ash Sakula.

Taking inspiration from the Death Positive Movement, they will be making films that reflect on reframing rituals, funerary rites in rural communities, and LGBTQIA+ end of life care. They will be developing their projects through conversations with our subject specialist, social anthropologist Dr Hannah Rumble.

The films will be launched live and online in Summer 2025.
