Elizabeth Dysart’s Garden
We commissioned Carolina Melis to create an animated film, with a poem by Simon Barraclough, inspired by the historic gardens of National Trust property, Ham House and Garden, and the estates 17th century owner, Elizabeth Dysart.
Local families from Ham Multi-Cultural Women’s Group spent time with the project team exchanging garden experience and undertaking creative workshops as part of the commission.
Carolina also mentored students from the London College of Communication in the production of a series of short animations inspired by the gardens. The shorts were made available to be watched at the locations they depicted.
Regarding Gardens was exhibited at Ham House and Garden in 2012, and was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund for Ham House and Garden, Garden of Reason 2012.
