Treasure

A film by Samantha Moore, inspired by the Shropshire sun pendant.

The community leader holds the sun pendant up to the sun in front of her community

A metal detectorist’s quest through the Shropshire Marches leads us to a spectacular gold masterpiece, and the leader who sacrifices it for the sake of her child. A glorious animated adventure, inspired by the discovery of the Shropshire sun pendant.

Produced by Animate Projects, commissioned by Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, with the support of BFI NETWORK, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
